The author, Kurusu Natsume, is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber affiliated with NIJISANJI. She has over 200 thousand followers/subscribers on YouTube and Twitter, and A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans is her first published novel.

This school-life novel is a relaxing story between a human-hating teacher and his demi-human students.
