Makoto Yukimura is a Japanese manga artist best known for his manga Planetes and Vinland Saga – Both loved by many, and also awarded the Grand Prize of the Manga Division at the 13th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2009; His work also won the 36th Kodansha Manga Award for Best General Manga in 2012.
