Tsumasaki Ni Kourozu
One day, the ambitious college student Iwai receives an unexpected introduction to a fascinating job opportunity as an assistant to a mycologist, a specialist in the study of fungi. Upon his arrival at the research facility, he is met by Murota, a seemingly moody and unsociable man whose demeanor puts Iwai on edge right from the start. Initially feeling uneasy and out of place, Iwai quickly discovers that he genuinely enjoys the days he spends immersed in this captivating world that was previously unknown to him, filled with intricate ecosystems and the wonders of nature.
As he assists Murota with his research and begins to take care of him—reminding him to eat and rest when he forgets to look after himself—Iwai finds a sense of purpose and fulfillment he hadn’t anticipated. Gradually, amidst the daily routines and shared moments in the lab, Iwai starts to realize that his heart is being drawn toward Murota in a way he never expected, awakening feelings that complicate his understanding of their relationship and leaving him both exhilarated and uncertain about what the future may hold.
