The “popular boy meets handsome girl” trope is ubiquitous, but She’s My Knight leans into it so far it becomes absurd and the source of a lot of the series’s laughs.

Even so, this is still a romance, and the lovely character designs and slow-burn love story will entertain fans of more serious manga in the same subgenre, like In the Clear Moonlit Dusk.
