Immortal Hounds Vol. 07
“…it’s a fun, violent ride with some cool mind games as it wades through the bloody territory of love and death. Recommended.” – Otaku USA
In an alternate world everyone is an immortal. There are no doctors or hospitals. Cemetaries are things of the past; some consider them to be legends or myths. But with immortality comes consequences, like the loss of some of humanities greatest gifts…including love.
There are those who understand that and choose to die for the ability to experience such emotions again. The government is determined to erradicate those who take that path, however.

Little is known about the artist, or possibly pair of talents, behind the name Ryoh Yasohachi but there is no denying the budding skill coming from this source.

But soon Yasohachi was scouted by traditional comics publishers eventually working on video game adaptations for the immensely popular Persona series. With the success of that comic collection, Yasohachi moved on to work with avant-garde comics publisher enterbrain where titles such as Immortal Hounds and series UwaGaki (Over-Written) to critical acclaim.
Title Notes:
One of the top rated manga published in Japan today: Immortal Hounds is currently creeping up the manga rankings in Japan, having hit the top ten of a number of critics lists over the last year.
Modern day action with a Supernatural Theme: Immortal Hounds on the surface looks like a very modern urban thriller. Set in world filled with terrorism and government surveillance it has many hooks that are familiar with current pop culture. However what sets this apart from many other works with those themes is the supernatural element that is at the heart of this series, and how human emotion (or the lack of it) is at the root of that.
