Protrag returns to their old job in the fish market (as seen in Invitation from a Crab) to try to help improve the labor standards of this old industry. But they soon realize that the seafood world is full of so much bureaucracy, middlemen, and waste. What if they could cut most of that out by letting the fish handle so much of that grunt work. And what if the beings of the sea took back control over how their products were caught, packaged and even sold?! Imagine how liberating that would be for fish…

Biographical Notes:

Panpanya is a darling of the Japanese indie comics scene. Best known for their work with the used pop-culture goods chain Mandarake, they are also known for their whimsical and surreal shorts that often distort the concepts of manga art.

Exhibited in the British Museum in London, England (Summer 2019) selected as one of the top 50 most influential manga artists of all time.

One of the hottest comic artists in Japan today, is beloved internationally for his unique illustration style and surreal, dreamlike story-telling.
