Biographical Notes:
Yukito Ayatsuji is a well-known mystery writer in Japan whose works include Another, Freaks, and Homunculus. In his works he strives to recapture the tone and tropes of classic detective fiction. He is married to Ono Fuyumi, the author of The Twelve Kingdoms.
Hiro Kiyohara made his commercial debut in 2005 with Sakura Iro Symmetry. His work was published in Monthly Shonen Ace’s May issue (Kadokawa Shoten). His representative works include the manga version of Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai and the manga version of Another. In 2015, Kodansha and KADOKAWA published an art book to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Another is originally a horror novel written by mystery fiction author Yukito Ayatsuji. Ayatsuji’s eerie tale of the “curse” that plagues the classroom of a murdered student and the investigation into the bizarre deaths attributed to it became an immediate sensation. It was adapted as a live-action film in summer of 2012, and as a popular anime series, which was available in the US on Crunchyroll in early 2012.
