Biographical Notes:
Takeshi Obata was born in 1969 in Niigata, Japan, and is the artist of the wildly popular SHONEN JUMP title Hikaru no Go, which won the 2003 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize: Shinsei “New Hope” award and the 2000 Shogakukan Manga award. Obata is also the artist of Arabian Majin Bokentan Lamp Lamp, Ayatsuri Sakon, Cyborg Jichan G., and the smash hit manga Death Note. All You Need Is Kill is his latest work following the hugely successful series Bakuman.
Hiroshi Sakurazaka is a Japanese science fiction and fantasy light novel author. He originally began a career in IT. Sakurazaka made his debut in 2002 at the second Super Dash Novel Rookie of the Year Award with the novel Mahō tsukai no netto, which was later published in December 2003 under the name Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahō. His 2004 novel All You Need Is Kill, received high praise from other authors in Japan and has subsequently been published in English by Viz Media.
Ryosuke Takeuchi is a Japanese manga artist, the storyboard organizer of the manga version of All You Need Is Kill in collaboration with illustrator Takeshi Obata.
