Biographical Notes:
After receiving the Bronze prize in the 1st Gold Tiara Awards for ‘Goodbye Daisy’ in 2007, Jun Mayuzuki debuted the following year, publishing her comic in ‘Bessatsu Chorus Springs’. Since then she has published over 16 short stories, 2 serialized comics and illustrations.

Anime/Media Tie-In: After the Rain is currently streaming on Amazon Prime (since Jan 2018) and with highly favorable reviews from fans and media. There is also a live action film that premiered in Japan.
Award winner and proven seller: The manga placed 2nd place in the 2015 Comic Natalie Awards. And currently has 1.7 million copies in print in Japan.
Cross over appeal: With two of the protaganist being different in age, this manga will appeal to different targets. The josei fans who can see themselves in Akira and for older males who can relate to Kondo the manager – which was the main demographic in Japan.
